Green Family Summer : read more
Posted November 13th, 2008 by greenfamilysummerVisit www.greenfamilysummer.com to see our family's solution to greening our summer road trip. By using a hybrid SUV, lightweight, low-profile camper, solar & wind power, and carbon offsets, we were able to improve our gas mileage by 70%, reduce our CO2 emissions by 40%, generate all of the power we needed from solar and wind, and balance our lower carbon footprint with the offsets.
All of this, and we were still able to show our two young daughters the wild areas of America, hoping to inspire them to become the next generation of conservationists.
