Save Money and Trees with LED Christmas Lights

Halloween is gone and soon fall will be behind us. All the major retail stores already have some Christmas decorations out but they'll be stocking the shelves this week to move into full holiday swing. Each year Americans use a great amount of additional energy and produce an enormous amount of excess waste during the holiday season. In fact, a recent EPA study concluded that Americans use more than 2220 GWh of electricity to power holiday mini lights alone. This does not take into consideration the larger C7 or C9 bulbs many people still use.

This year LED Christmas lights are widely available. This new technology uses 80-99% less energy than its incandescent equivalents. The lights are also extremely durable and will last for more than 50,000 hours.

These types of small changes can make a big difference at holiday time.
