A day in the life of an eco-dog

Our blog and column is written from our dogs, Lola "paw" of view, in her language with some humor thrown in. She answers pet owners questions and gives them advice on how to go green with Fido. The column is titled "Ask Lola the eco-dog". It is a slobbering advice column written by a dog for eco-minded dogs & their owners. What some may term a spin on the ever famous "Dear Abby" but this column is unique in its own way. Some of the topics may include: suggestions on eco-friendly pet products, organic dog treats, safe pet household cleaning products and many more topics. Its all about getting the readers involved by helping them realize the green impact can start right home with their dog, in their own backyard or neighborhood. Learning about environmental issues & sustainability should be accurate, informative and fun because a few laughs aways makes the day a little brighter.
Let us tell you a little bit about our barking columnist. Lola is an expert at being a dog so she is the perfect person to give advice on dog related issues. The best part is that she is not afraid to get down to the "nitty-gritty", digging & sniffing is her specialty. One of her favorite things to do is blog (she tends to get slobber all over the key-board), answer bark mail, give back to the community. She is often playing Sherlock Hound to get the latest scoop on environmental news & treads. Whether she is sniffing your pants legs or sitting down with someone for a riveting interview she goes right to the source. She always make sure to gather accurate information before leaking it to the press. Then when Earth day or Arbor day rolls around you can catch her digging a hole the size of a crater to plant a tree. Lola loves wearing her treehugger's organic tee to support the cause and spread awareness. She has high hopes of forming her very own Tree Fan Club. She not only "bark the bark" ("talk the talk") but "romp the romp" ("walk the walk") by living it each day. She is even thinking about building her doggy dream home with solar panels & wind power. So as you can see she was born to be a writer, investigator and environmentalist.
Lola is very personable and not afraid to share some of her life experiences with the readers. It is amazing that if given a chance to speak dogs have a lot of important and insightful things to say. We must admit, that Lola has taught us a lot about life and the joys of being a parent. As eco-conscious dog parents & consumers it was important to create a column to reach out to those who wanted to make a difference in the lives of their dogs, themselves, future generations and the earth. Our column is truly representative of Lola's fun, down to earth, loving and boundless spirit. Written for those everyday dog owners out there trying to take small puppy steps toward a natural & eco-friendly way of life. But often times these individuals may not know where to begin, well Lola is here to help. Perhaps it all starts with using doggie pick-up environmental alternatives, neutering or spaying your dog, and using eco pet friendly cleaning supplies. Maybe, lowing your carbon paw print by walking to the park or dog bark-ery on the corner for the organic treat of the day, a plush bed made out of recycled soda bottles, or giving your dog a West Paw recycleBONE. With just these simple tips the earth can be a lot greener & lives can be a lot healthier. Lola's motto is "healthy dog, healthy earth, and happier life".
